As you all know, Marcello and Iyana's story began in the very small town of Glassboro, New Jersey. Iyana was a student at Rowan University while Marcello was living in Glassboro, working as a youth soccer coach. The summer of 2016 for them both, was filled with lots of fun, laughter, and many trips to the good old faithful college bar, Landmark. Over that summer, Iyana and Marcello got to know each other better and eventually develop chemistry that was undeniable. In October of 2016, they made the relationship official. Who would've thought that two crazy people, from opposite sides of the world, would create such a beautiful life to experience together? Throughout the years, their love would only continue to grow stronger for one another. The love was so strong, that on February 14, 2020, Marcello would then take Iyana to National Harbor, to look at the stunning view of the bay, and get down on one knee to say the best four words she would ever hear, "Will you marry me?".

Unfortunately, a month later, the world was devastated by Covid-19. Marcello then had to go back to his home country of England, while Iyana stayed back in America. They were separated for 16 long months, but during those 16 months, they kept their relationship alive through long facetime calls and texts. Marcello and Iyana have showed great perseverance in their relationship, having to deal with long distance, the visa process, and even joining a lawsuit to fight for their marriage visa to be processed so that they can be back with each other again. It was all worth it because in July of 2021, Marcello and Iyana were reunited and in August of 2021, they had an intimate ceremony in the local court house. Since then, it has been years of world travel, raising a kitten together, securing season tickets to see their favorite MLS team, the Philadelphia Union, and moving across state lines. They can not be more thrilled to celebrate their love properly in front of their closest family and friends!
